Iqra Sadia has more than four years of experience in the nonprofit sector and work experience in management/leadership and technology around 8 years. She earned a bachelor’s in Mechatronics Engineering from Pakistan with an exchange semester in Kansas States University.
She is currently working with the PITB’s Project e-Rozgaar, She also the representative of the Government’s initiative named ‘Herself’
Currently running a skill development initiative for Transgenders & women with the name TAABIIR.
She is the Global Youth Ambassador for Theirworld and also representing their cause in Pakistan street kids’education initiative Bazeecha. Since 2014, She started working on her social startup “WomEM”, to legally advise harassment cases and helping sexual health issues through locating nearest doctors on an app. Previously, She worked with Intech Process Automation as QA & Automation Engineer.
From 2015 to 2017 She has volunteered as Chapter Ambassador for ‘Women in Entrepreneurship’ as communication lead to train 250-300 rural women in learning professional skills. She led the forum called ‘Women in Engineering Forum’ for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (WIE-ASME).
Through these experiences, She developed Project Management, Entrepreneurial, Programming (Ladder logic, C, C++, Python), Event planning & Communication skills.
She is a strong believer in the causes of education, gender equality, legal assistance for harassment, and social entrepreneurship.
